Usually animals migrate to places that are warmer or that have better food supplies. Migrating animals generally travel during the same season every year. Reptiles, such as snakes and sea turtles are also known to migrate. The arctic tern, a bird, is believed to have the longest migration of any animal. It is known to travel some 71,000 kilometers (or 44,000 miles) round trip from the arctic to the Antarctic every year.
