Eran las tres y media y Katie acababa de terminar la escuela. Su madre estaba esperando en la puerta con Jessie, el perro."¿Podemos ir al parque con Jaia, mamá?" dijo Katie.
"Está bien, podemos ir media hora", dijo su madre.
Cuando llegaron al parque, Katie y Jaia corrieron hacia los columpios y los toboganes.
"¡Vamos!" Katie gritó: "Vamos a cómo de alto podemos llegar en los columpios!"
"No puedes entrar aquí, Jess!" -gritó Katie y Jaia. Mamá llevó a Jessie al banco y la ató a el. Se sentó y se puso a leer el periódico.
"¿Pasaste un buen rato?" Preguntó mamá. "¡Sí, fue genial! ¡Llegué la que más alto!" dijo Katie. "No, yo fui la que llegué más alto", dijo Jaia. "Vamos, tenemos que llevarte a casa", dijo su madre.
Esa noche, Jessie no podía dormir. Pensaba en el parque. En silencio, se levantó de su canasta y bajó las escaleras.
Se escurrió a través de la gatera - ¡él estaba fuera! Corrió hacia el parque.
Pronto Jessie estaba en el parque. Caminó hacia los columpios. La puerta estaba abierta. Atravesó y miró a su alrededor ... el patio estaba lleno de perros!
Jessie se subió por la escalera, bajó la tapa, pasó zumbando alrededor de la rotonda, se fue arriba y abajo en el balancí, rebotó en el muelle, y se fue hacia arriba y hacia abajo en el columpio.
"Wooooof!" ladró Jessie. Él llegó tan alto como pudo en el columpio.
Pronto llegó el momento de irse. Jessie se bajó del columpio, se fue por la puerta y se dirigió de vuelta a casa.
Pasó a través de la trampera para gatos, subió las escaleras y se metió en su cesta. Miró a Katie. "Yo llegué el que más alto", pensó Jessie. Y se fue a dormir.

When they got to the park, Katie and Jaia ran towards the swings and slides.
"Come on!" shouted Katie, "Let's see how high we can go on the swings!"
"You can't come in here, Jess!" shouted Katie and Jaia. Mum took Jessie over to the bench and tiedhim to it. She sat down and started to read the paper.
"Did you have a nice time?" Mum asked. "Yes, it was brilliant! I went the highest!" said Katie. "No, I went the highest," said Jaia. "Come on, we need to take you home," said Mum.
That night, Jessie couldn't sleep. He was thinking about the park. Quietly, he got of his basket and walked downstairs.
He squeezed through the cat flap -- he was outside! He ran towards the park.
Soon Jessie was at the park. He walked towards the swings. The gate was open. He went through and looked around...the playground was full of dogs!
Jessie climbed up the ladder, went down the slide, whizzed round on the roundabout, went up and down on the see-saw, bounced on the springy, and went up and down on the swing.
"Wooooof!" barked Jessie. He went as high as he could on the swing.
Soon it was time to go. Jessie got off the swing, went through the gate and walked back home.
He squeezed through the cat-flap, walked upstairs and got into his basket. He looked at Katie. "I went the highest," thought Jessie. And went to sleep.
